Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, whose state is governor is Tim Walz, vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris, on Monday celebrated Brazil's Supreme Court's decision to ban Elon Musk's X from Brazil.
In a Labor Day post by X, Keith Ellison commented on the ban saying, “Obligado Brasil!” (Thank you, Brazil!).

His post sparked an intense reaction online.
“Minnesota Attorney General Tim Walz and Keith Ellison can thank Brazil for killing free speech platform X,” said Molly Hemingway, editor-in-chief of The Federalist magazine.
The Brazilian government is fining people who access X with a fine of 50,000 reais per day.
The annual salary of a minimum wage worker in Brazil is 17,000 reais.

Brazil has blocked SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk's social media platform, “X,” after he refused to comply with the country's demands to blacklist certain accounts, Breitbart News reported.
Musk also claimed on his platform that the country had also frozen assets of his satellite internet company, Starlink.
