Knicks fans were on cloud nine after the team secured a big win on Friday night, and superfan Timothée Chalamet was right in the middle of the excitement.
Following the Knicks’ 119-81 triumph over the Celtics in Game 6 of the NBA playoffs, supporters swarmed the streets around Madison Square Garden, leading to a bit of a chaotic scene.
Chalamet, that “completely unknown” actor, was spotted in the backseat of a black car on 33rd Avenue, just as thrilled as any dedicated fan in Midtown. He couldn’t help but beam with joy, even playfully jumping out of the back window as fans reached to touch him
The atmosphere was electric, with fans climbing light poles and celebrating wildly, some even burning a Celtics jacket. Photos and videos captured the pure joy and excitement filling the air.
Spike Lee, another famous Knicks superfan, was also seen leisurely driving down 8th Avenue, greeting fans through the sunroof.
Coverage from the Knicks’ run in the 2025 NBA Playoffs
Chalamet seems to be enjoying the Knicks’ playoff journey, especially since his girlfriend Kylie Jenner attended the Met Gala solo while he watched Game 1. He caught Game 2 from Rome after the couple made their red carpet debut at the David Di Donatello Awards.
They returned to America for the playoff series, sitting courtside alongside Kylie’s sister, Kendall, during the Knicks’ Game 4 win. After that moment, Chalamet joyfully celebrated with Knicks player Karl-Anthony Towns.
The SAG Award winner returned to New York for the series clincher, having missed a Game 5 loss in Boston as his girlfriend took a break to unwind.
Chalamet is certainly cheering on his favorite team, with the Knicks set to face the Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals starting Wednesday night.
