Tennessee Titans Cornerback Indicted for Failure to Report a Felony
Tennessee Titans cornerback Rajarius Snead has been indicted by a grand jury on a misdemeanor charge for failing to report a felony, a decision made on Tuesday in Dallas County, Texas. This indictment is related to an alleged incident that took place in December 2024.
The 28-year-old Snead is facing charges for witnessing a felony that could have led to serious injury or death and for not promptly notifying law enforcement about it.
The penalties for Snead’s charges could reach a maximum of a $4,000 fine and/or a year in county jail.
Christian Nsimiyimana, who operates a distinctive car rental service, reported that he was in a Mercedes G Wagon when Snead and his personal assistant arrived at the dealership. According to him, they showed up in a rented Lamborghini Urus and shot at him while he was seated inside his vehicle. Nsimiyimana has since filed a lawsuit against Snead, seeking $1 million, claiming he was subject to an “unprovoked, cold-blooded attack in broad daylight.”
Following the incident, Carrollton police apprehended Snead and his accomplice, suspecting them of aggravated assault using a deadly weapon.
The lawsuit details that Nsimiyimana encountered Sneed at the dealership but didn’t recognize him as a professional football player, adding that he might have been confused for someone else.
A spokesperson from the Titans confirmed that they are aware of the situation involving Snead and are in communication with NFL security, but they will refrain from making any further comments while the investigation is ongoing.
Attempts by Fox News Digital to obtain a comment from Snead’s representatives have not yet received a reply.
Snead joined the Titans through a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs before the 2024-2025 season, signing a four-year, $76 million contract. Although he was an essential part of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl-winning defense, his time with the Titans has been marred by injuries; he played just seven games this season, and only five last year, due to a quadriceps issue. Currently, he is on injured reserve after another quadriceps injury sustained while playing against the New England Patriots.
This season, Snead has recorded 26 tackles and defended three passes in his appearances.
