Team USA Celebrates Gold Medal Win
Matthew and Brady Tkachuk, standout players for Team USA in men’s hockey, expressed gratitude for America’s heroes during their celebration after defeating Canada for the gold medal at the Winter Olympics. Draped in American flags, both players spoke to a local station, sharing their excitement about the win.
Brady Tkachuk noted, “I feel on top of the world. Just being here with my brother, it’s incredible. We have so many people to thank—everyone in St. Louis, all our family and friends, and especially the first responders who protect us. This is for them and for all Americans.” Matthew chimed in, acknowledging, “A big shoutout to the military who risk their lives for us.” He emphasized that the victory wouldn’t have been possible without the tremendous support they received.
Quinn Hughes, another American star, praised the country, stating, “Hockey is our game. America is the greatest country in the world.” He encouraged everyone to celebrate, urging fans to wear the red, white, and blue proudly. “We should have a month-long mandate to celebrate,” he joked, highlighting the community spirit back home.
Jack Hughes played a crucial role in securing the victory with a winning goal scored against Canada, strengthening the team’s place in Olympic history. After the dramatic win, he expressed pride in being an American, saying, “This moment is all about our country. I love America and my teammates.”
