TNA Lockdown 2026 match lineup, overview, and forecasts

TNA Lockdown 2026 match lineup, overview, and forecasts

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) is set to host its Lockdown event at the Credit Union Arena in Chicago this Sunday evening. It’s noteworthy because this is the first time the event has taken place since 2016 and the first pay-per-view version since 2014. Lockdown stands out as one of the more unique events on the TNA calendar.

In a distinctive twist, every match will occur within a steel cage, paving the way for some potentially devastating and unforgettable moments. The event is scheduled to kick off at 5 p.m. ET and will be streamed live on TNA+. For those eager to get a glimpse earlier, the pre-show matches will be available for free on TNA’s digital platforms.

Here’s a rundown of what to expect on the match card.

Avery Styles to Appear

On Saturday, TNA announced that Avery Styles, son of the well-known WWE and TNA star A.J. Styles, will make an appearance at Lockdown. However, there’s still some uncertainty about his specific role since Avery is just starting out in pro wrestling and has only competed in Game Changer Wrestling so far.

Pre-show Matches

The Lockdown pay-per-view will feature two pre-show contests along with a dark match. In the pre-show, BDE and Rich Swann will take on The Righteous duo of Vincent and Dutch, while Special Agent 0 faces Trey Miguel. Both matches will happen inside the steel cage.

As for the dark match, Joe Alonzo will defend his AAW Heavyweight Championship title against The Home Town Man. If Alonzo retains – and he’s the current champion – he will secure a TNA contract.

Predictions: The Righteous will likely defeat BDE and Swann, while Miguel might edge out Special Agent 0. Also, Alonzo should prevail over The Home Town Man.

Matt and Jeff Hardy (c) vs. Nic and Ryan Nemeth for the TNA World Tag Team Championship

The Hardy brothers will defend their world tag team championship against their fellow siblings, the Nemeths, who are eager to regain their tag titles. Nic Nemeth is already the TNA world champion, so if he wins this match, he’ll hold two belts. The Hardys have had possession of the tag titles since their victory at Slammiversary in June, marking their fifth reign.

Prediction: The Hardys will likely retain their titles.

Allie & TBA (c) vs. Heather by Elegance and M by Elegance for the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship

With Rosemary sidelined, Allie needs to find a new partner to defend the Knockouts World Tag Team Championship. The challengers from the Elegance Brand are keen to reclaim titles in this match. Notably, Allie and Rosemary (known as DemonXBunny) previously triumphed over the challengers to win the titles at Slammiversary.

Prediction: Allie and her mystery partner will likely hold on to the championship.

AJ Francis vs Elijah

This matchup is shaping up to be a classic grudge match showcasing two of TNA’s hardest hitters. Recently, Francis has been interfering in Elijah’s music career, escalating their feud from the studio to the squared circle. Elijah has also helped knock down Francis’s nemesis, which adds another layer to their rivalry. Expect a decisive moment in this final encounter.

Prediction: Francis is expected to come out on top against Elijah.

Jason Hotch (c) vs. Mustafa Ali for the TNA International Championship

Jason Hotch created quite a stir a few weeks ago when he unseated Mustafa Ali for the TNA International Championship on “Impact.” Since then, Ali has taken their rivalry personally and is determined to reclaim the title. In the confines of a steel cage, it’s likely that both men will put on an impressive performance.

Prediction: Hotch is expected to retain his title.

Frankie Kazarian vs. Moose in Escape the Cage Match

It’s somewhat surprising that Kazarian and Moose, both of whom have been around TNA for quite a while, have yet to face off until now. In their upcoming Escape the Cage match, it’ll be an all-out battle, with the first one to exit the cage declared the winner.

Prediction: Kazarian seems poised to escape the cage first.

Cedric Alexander (c) vs. Leon Slater for the TNA X Division Championship

When Cedric Alexander defeated Leon Slater for the TNA X Division Championship, it ended Slater’s shot at becoming the longest-reigning champion in that division’s history. Alexander has held onto the belt since then and has even added a stipulation to Slater’s rematch; if Slater loses again, his prior reign will be erased from the record books.

Prediction: Alexander is likely to conclude his feud with Slater decisively.

Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers, Bear Bronson, and Alisha Edwards vs. Ricky Sosa, Fabian Aichner, KC Navarro, and Jada Stone in a Lethal Lockdown Match

This Lethal Lockdown match promises to be merciless, as both teams prepare for a high-violence encounter within the steel confines. Eddie Edwards and his team (known as The System) will take on Ricky Sosa’s crew. Buckle up for potentially chaotic scenes, as it is the first Lethal Lockdown event in a decade.

Prediction: The System is likely to prevail once again.

Xia Brookside (c) vs. Elayna Black for the TNA Knockouts World Championship

Xia Brookside has been particularly bothersome for Elayna Black lately. With Brooklyn expressing her intent to leave her mark on the TNA Knockouts World Championship scene, the tension is certainly high as they prepare to meet. Elayna Black enters this match hoping to capitalize on her hometown advantage.

Prediction: Brookside is expected to retain her title.
