Todd Chrisley has made some intriguing claims about his time in prison. During a recent episode of his daughter Savannah’s podcast, “Unlocked,” he recounted a tense moment with Rick Singer, the infamous figure behind the college admissions scandal.
While at the federal facility in Pensacola, Florida, Todd says he didn’t hit it off with Singer right away. In fact, he directly confronted the man, calling him a snitch and making it clear he wanted nothing to do with him. Tensions rose when Singer allegedly started speaking negatively about Savannah.
“He started talking smack,” Todd recounted. “I walked over to him and said, ‘I’m going to say this again. I’m already in prison. If you talk about my child again, I’ll tear your head and put it down around your neck.'” Those are some vivid words, right?
Todd, who is 56, clearly felt strongly about protecting his daughter. His comments were an unmistakable warning to Singer, who is 64. He reiterated that he wouldn’t tolerate any further disrespect towards Savannah.
Interestingly, Savannah mentioned that this blowup nearly landed her dad in another county due to the altercation, but afterward, it seems the two managed to co-exist without further incidents.
As for Singer, he hasn’t provided any public response to Todd’s claims as of now.
By the way, Todd spent two years in prison for tax evasion and bank fraud, but he was pardoned by former President Donald Trump in May. He insists he didn’t do anything wrong.
Singer, on the other hand, orchestrated a scheme that helped affluent students fabricate their way into prestigious colleges, and he received a sentence of three and a half years in January 2023. He was released to a halfway house in Los Angeles in August 2024.
