Tom Brady mocks Jets fans at statue unveiling

Tom Brady Statue Unveiled at Gillette Stadium

Tom Brady added another highlight to his legacy, recently achieving victory in 30 games against the New York Jets throughout his career. His statue was unveiled outside Gillette Stadium.

The ceremony occurred before a preseason game between the New England Patriots and Washington on Friday night. Often hailed as the greatest quarterback ever, Brady has secured six Super Bowl championships with the Patriots. Soon, he’ll be enshrined in the Hall of Fame and, of course, will now be immortalized in bronze in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

In his remarks, Brady pointed out that the statue wasn’t merely a nod to Patriots fans. He jokingly mentioned that it might also give Jets fans a target for their drinks when leaving the stadium early. “In the end, this statue isn’t just about Pats fans,” he stated, adding a light-hearted twist that many could relate to.

Brady holds a remarkable 30-7 record against the Jets, throwing 60 touchdown passes against them—second only to his records against the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins.

During Brady’s time with the Patriots, the Jets often found themselves struggling. From 2000 through 2019, New York managed to make the playoffs six times and reached the AFC Championship twice, but they never reached the Super Bowl during those years.

In contrast, the Patriots reached the playoffs 17 times in that span, clinching the championship six times. They’ve even returned to postseason play under quarterback Mac Jones, while the Jets haven’t made the playoffs since the 2010 season.
