Tom Brady Celebrates Thanksgiving Weekend with Family
This past Thanksgiving weekend was particularly memorable for Tom Brady. The iconic NFL quarterback shared an emotional post on social media, filled with nostalgia, family moments, and fun.
On Thanksgiving Day, Brady was busy with his role at Fox Sports, co-hosting the game between the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers alongside play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt. But he also found time to attend the University of Michigan’s “The Game” against Ohio State, where he graduated.
He posted a joyful photo on Instagram featuring his children—18-year-old Jack, 15-year-old Benjamin, and 12-year-old Vivian—alongside his parents, Garyn Patricia and Tom Sr., and his niece Hannah Brady, who plays Division I volleyball for the Wolverines, enjoying a merry-go-round together.
Brady, now 48 and a future Hall of Famer, called it “a special Thanksgiving weekend with the people I love most.” He reflected on the joys of laughing, playing, indulging in festive food, and embracing family, football, and Michigan traditions.
The first photo he shared showed a beaming Brady with his daughter, Vivian, on the lawn of Michigan’s iconic Big House. Unfortunately for him, the game didn’t conclude as he had hoped; Ohio State snapped their losing streak against Michigan, solidifying their top ranking.
His second picture captured another family event at the volleyball court. Brady expressed joy about working with the Fox Sports team, stating he enjoyed the Thanksgiving game and had a blast collaborating with Kevin Burkhardt, Erin Andrews, and Tom Rinaldi. He mentioned how this was among his best Thanksgivings, followed by a visit to Ann Arbor to watch his athletic niece compete and connect with extended family.
Interestingly, he reminisced about how he once studied the Wolverines’ quarterbacks back in the mid-90s while in high school in California—those early days are still cherished by him.
“It’s always a special experience to be back at Michigan,” he joked, adding that he appreciated that he no longer had to worry about final exams. He was thrilled to watch the Wolverines play against Ohio State and valued reconnecting with many past teammates and friends.
The visit wasn’t purely nostalgia; Brady truly cherished each moment spent with family, especially his kids. He also addressed a controversial touchdown that stirred discussions on social media, stating, “It was a dream come true to make memories with my children. Sure, the game didn’t go as expected (I still think it was a touchback!), but I feel so grateful for the love from my parents and for a weekend that meant so much to me.”
As the carousel of photos continued, fans glimpsed Brady walking onto the field with his daughter before the game, spending quality time with his sons, and playing catch at the Wolverines’ practice facility.
Ultimately, it was a family-centered Thanksgiving that the Bradys, in both Detroit and Ann Arbor, will certainly remember for years to come.
