Tom Brady’s Reflection on His Career
It seems Tom Brady just can’t resist commenting on his own legacy. Recently, he reacted to an Instagram post showcasing his stunning career stats over three decades. The post caught my eye for its mention of “Tom Brady every 10 years,” which seems to encapsulate how he’s been a prominent figure through the decades.
Brady’s response? He humorously asked, “Are the 50s coming soon?” This comes shortly after he turned 48. Now, it’s hard to say if he’s genuinely contemplating a return from retirement—even if, well, it wouldn’t be the first time he’s done it. I think many fans, and maybe even teammates, wonder what goes through his mind at times.
Though Brady likely isn’t aiming for a comeback, you can never tell with someone who’s considered one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.
To add another layer to his post-retirement life, Brady became a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders back in October 2024. While his role under this ownership is still a bit vague, there’s certainly buzz surrounding him chatting with the Raiders’ general manager, John Spytek—someone he’s worked with in the past while with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
In addition to being an owner, Brady also lends his voice to NFL broadcasts as a commentator for Fox, partnering with Kevin Burkhardt, which I find pretty interesting. It shows he’s not completely stepping away from football.
While discussing the Raiders, their majority owner, Mark Davis, made some lighthearted comments about Brady, saying he hadn’t been his biggest fan over the years. But he emphasized Brady’s competitive spirit and talents as valuable additions to the team, especially in terms of training future quarterbacks.
Speaking of stats, it’s worth noting that over his illustrious 23-year career, Brady has achieved staggering numbers—like the most passing yards ever at 89,214 and the highest career touchdown passes at 649. These records are remarkable and, honestly, set a high bar for any future players.
As he navigates this new chapter in life, it remains uncertain whether Brady is looking to further add to those impressive records. For now, at 48, we wait to see what the future holds for this inevitable Hall of Famer.
