You know it’s probably a good show when the woke crowd comes out from among the trees and hollers about the show.
This was the case with the Tom Brady roast, where nothing was off-limits, not even Aaron Hernandez.
“When people on Twitter and certain sides of the sports media started whining about things that weren’t funny, I knew this had to be funny,” Steve Kim told Jason Whitlock.
“I said, ‘Hey, wait a minute. This is a must-see,'” he added.
During the roast, Brady cracked a joke about 9/11 that left the woke crowd in arms to the teeth.
“Like the rest of America, I will always remember where I was on that fateful day in September 2001, when those two jets tragically crashed into Drew Bledsoe. ” Brady said with a big laugh.
Whitlock believes this is “a good sign that people were offended.”
“There wasn’t an ounce of PC in this whole deal. There’s nothing politically correct about this and it’s happening with Netflix,” he said, adding, “This is also dumb. It was a moment when everything seemed to collapse,” he added.
“Jews, black people, gay people, transgender people, white people, no one was off limits,” he continued.
“They threw political correctness out the window and just went after it.”
