Tom Emmer Supports Chris McGowan for Iowa's Fourth District

Chris McGowan Receives Endorsement from Tom Emmer

Breitbart News reported that on Tuesday, House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, a Republican from Minnesota, endorsed veteran Chris McGowan for the Iowa 4th District seat.

In a statement, Emmer expressed, “Chris McGowan is the kind of conservative veteran we need in Congress. He represents the values of service, integrity, and hard work that are so important in Iowa’s 4th District. Chris will be a strong advocate for America First policies and a reliable partner in the House Republican Conference, delivering real results for Iowa.”

McGowan responded by thanking Emmer for his endorsement, acknowledging the support for the America First movement. He noted, “His leadership has been instrumental in challenging the radical left and fighting for the values that matter to Iowa families. We’re honored to have his support for our campaign.”

Currently serving as the president of the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce, McGowan announced his candidacy in late June to succeed U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra, who is running for governor in Iowa.

His diverse background as a lawyer, military veteran, and economic development professional positions him well for a role in the Iowa State Legislature. McGowan stated, “What sets me apart is my experience as a veteran, attorney, and economic development professional. I’m committed to an administration that prioritizes America. This means standing up to China, revitalizing jobs here, and achieving energy independence.”

He emphasized his dedication to supporting agriculture in Iowa, stating, “Backing agriculture means supporting President Trump’s initiatives to secure markets and fair trade agreements that benefit our farmers.” He further remarked, “Agriculture is an essential part of life in Iowa, and I’ll continue to be a staunch ally for the industry and its products.”

On border security, he asserted, “I’ll work closely with border enforcement to maintain a strong and secure border, especially to combat the fentanyl crisis.” He also highlighted the need to combat human trafficking and ensure safety for all Americans within their borders, pledging not to let harmful individuals enter the country.
