During a “Turning Point USA” event at the University of Texas in El Paso, border czar Tom Homan confronted a heckler who labeled him a “racist.” His advice? “Grow your spine.”
In his speech, Homan shared, “Every night, I pray for the safety of all Border Patrol and ICE agents, and for those we are seeking. I don’t want anyone to suffer injuries or die.”
“This applies to officials, foreigners, and that’s a hard truth,” he added.
As he discussed immigration enforcement, the heckler interrupted with accusations of racism, prompting Homan to reply, “Call me what you want, I don’t care.”
Amidst the chaos, demonstrators called him a “traitor.”
Homan shot back, asking, “Would you like to develop your backbone? I’ll take some questions, but let’s face it.” He asserted, “Let’s gear up and protect our border,” meeting cheers from the audience.
His comments drew praise on social media, with users highlighting supposed leftist hypocrisy.
