Fantasy Football Playoffs: Week 2 Predictions

It’s that exciting time again—the second round of the Fantasy Football Playoffs is here! You’ve made it this far, so let’s look at some running backs who could really amp up your lineup this week.

Audric Estim, Saints vs. Jets

The Jets have been struggling lately, allowing a staggering 14 touchdowns to running backs over their last five games. That’s pretty rough. Meanwhile, the Saints are facing some running back challenges, particularly with Alvin Kamara and Devin Neal dealing with injuries. The Friday injury report is still pending, but if both are sidelined, Estim seems poised to outperform Evan Hull. He stepped up significantly last week when Neal was unavailable, racking up three receptions. Whoever gets the ball from the Saints this week stands a solid chance.

Knight missed the previous game due to an ankle injury and is likely out for this week, possibly even the rest of the season. Emari DeMercado and Michael Carter are set to take over the running back responsibilities.

Neal was also unavailable in Week 15 due to a hamstring issue. In his absence, Audric Estim and Evan Hull shared the workload. As for Kamara, he’s still not back at practice after an MCL sprain, though he isn’t on IR. It’ll be interesting to see if they make a push to reintegrate him with just three games left.

Marks had to leave several games last week due to an ankle injury but remained on the sidelines for the rest of the match. He might have possibly returned if it hadn’t been for the Texans losing a significant lead. He’s still dealing with some risk from the injury but is expected to play against the Raiders this week.

Kamara suffered his MCL sprain back in Week 12, missing the following two weeks. Devin Neal stepped into the lead role during his absence. Since Kamara isn’t on IR, there’s a chance he could return, but he hasn’t practiced yet. He’ll need to get in some reps before this week’s game against the Panthers.
