The San Francisco 49ers, currently at 4-2, are set to face the 3-2 Atlanta Falcons as 1.5-point favorites in the upcoming Sunday Night Football matchup. Both teams seem to be fairly matched. With Brock Purdy sidelined again, Mac Jones is back to start. Additionally, George Kittle has returned from IR, a much-needed boost for a struggling 49ers offense.
questionable offensive player
Darnell Mooney, WR, Falcons
Mooney had two limited practices this week but did not practice on Friday; he’s been deemed questionable. Head coach Raheem Morris appears optimistic about his chances to play. If Mooney is out, this could boost Drake London’s fantasy value significantly, making him an attractive option, even at a premium price. Mooney’s salary is still on the higher side, but if he suits up, he might be a valuable asset.
George Kittle, TE, 49ers (FLEX $7,800, CPT $11,700)
Kittle seems to be in a good place after coming off IR due to a hamstring injury from Week 1. The team has exercised caution, giving him extra time to recover, and he appears ready to play a significant role. With Ricky Pearsall ruled out and Jauan Jennings dealing with multiple injuries, I’m feeling optimistic about Kittle this week, even if the matchup could be tough.
Bijan Robinson, POS, Team (FLEX $13,400, CPT $20,100)
Bijan is tough to overlook. I mean, it feels like he’s a constant threat in every game. Ignoring him might mean downgrading his flex potential, which could be necessary if his cost doesn’t fit into a captain’s role. His versatility on the ground and through the air makes him a solid option no matter the game script. Plus, he’s notably more explosive than Christian McCaffrey this year. McCaffrey, of course, remains a top choice for captains in this matchup, but his PPR score of .5 on FD gives him a slight edge on DraftKings compared to FanDuel.
Casey Washington, WR, Falcons (FLEX $3,400, CPT $5,100)
They might need to get a bit creative since playing alongside Robinson, McCaffrey, and Drake Rondon will require some budget balancing. Casey Washington has been getting a lot of playing time, though his targets have been more erratic. I’m inclined to stick with him mainly in larger tournaments, but if he performs well, the return could be significant for his cost.
DeMarcus Robinson, POS, Team (FLEX $4,400, CPT $6,600)
With Marquez Valdes-Scantling out, DeMarcus Robinson could see more consistent playing time than he has in previous games. His two significant receptions last week show he’s becoming a safer pick at a lower price compared to Washington.
Jauan Jennings, POS, Team (FLEX $6,000, CPT $9,000)
Jennings is by no means playing at full strength, but he’s a more budget-friendly option on FanDuel compared to DraftKings. We’ve seen him push through injuries successfully in the past.
