On a Sunday night, we’re all eager for the upcoming game! The Falcons are set to face the Minnesota Vikings, entering as a 3.5-point underdog in a match with an over/under of 44.5. Just last week, the Vikings managed a comeback against the Bears thanks to a solid effort from JJ McCarthy.
Let’s dive into some of the top DFS picks for this Sunday night matchup.
Jordan Mason, RB, Vikings (flex $7,000, CPT $10,500)
Mason took the lead role against the Bears, racking up 15 carries for 65 yards. Meanwhile, Aaron Jones managed eight carries for just 23 yards but made an impact through the air, catching 3 passes for 43 yards and bringing in a touchdown. So, yes, Jones had himself quite the game.
Michael Penix (flex $11,400, CPT $17,100)
Penix performed well against the Buccaneers last week, completing 27 of 42 passes for 298 yards, with one touchdown and no interceptions. He also scrambled six times for 21 yards and another score. Looking ahead, he’ll have Darnell Mooney back, and Drake London is set to play despite a shoulder issue last week. Plus, Bijan Robinson had over 100 receiving yards and Kyle Pitts is back too.
Drake London (flex $10,200, CPT $15,300)
Penix seems to have a special connection with London, targeting him heavily. Last week, he threw to him 15 times before London got injured. Although London caught only eight passes for 55 yards, that’s a significant number of targets. It’s worth noting he’s also more affordable than Justin Jefferson, who only saw seven targets last week.
Jalen Nailor, WR, Vikings (Flex $3,800, CPT $5,700)
Nailor stepped up in the absence of Jordan Addison, running routes on 87.5% of dropbacks per PFF. Still, he only received one target since McCarthy attempted just 20 passes in total. Finding budget-friendly options like this can be tricky.
Will Lie Card (flex $6,800, CPT $10,200)
Even though Richard is a pricier kicker, there seems to be a lack of confidence in McCarthy’s passing abilities. This could lead to a more conservative offensive approach, perhaps setting Richard up for some mid-to-long range field goals, like his impressive 59-yarder from last week.
Darnell Mooney (Flex $8,200, CPT $12,300)
Returning from a shoulder injury, Mooney didn’t quite stretch the field as expected against the Falcons last week. Atlanta’s struggles with the Viking blitz and defensive line could complicate matters for him, but there will likely be opportunities for deep passes. Penix has shown he can connect well on those.
