Top DFS selections for Ravens vs. Dolphins in Week 9

Tonight marks the beginning of Week 9 in the 2025 NFL season, featuring a matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and the Miami Dolphins. Baltimore comes into the game as a 7.5-point favorite, with the total points set at 50.5. Both teams are limping into this contest with only two wins each, making a victory crucial for their hopes of reaching the playoffs.

Here’s a look at some top DFS picks for this evening’s game.

Lamar Jackson, QB, Baltimore Ravens (FLEX $13,600, CPT $20,400)

Jackson returns to the field after being sidelined last month due to a hamstring issue, and the Ravens are counting on him for a turnaround in their underwhelming season. Prior to his injury, the two-time MVP averaged 23.6 fantasy points per game, accumulating 869 passing yards, 166 rushing yards, and 11 total touchdowns in four games, making him a key figure for DFS players.

I feel that a healthy Jackson could deliver impressive numbers right away, especially since he’s playing so close to his hometown of Pompano Beach, Florida. It’s a strong reason to justify his high price as captain tonight.

Devon Achane, RB, Miami Dolphins (FLEX $12,000, CPT $18,000)

Achane has emerged as the most reliable offensive player for the Dolphins amidst a tough season, averaging 17.8 fantasy points weekly. Last Sunday, he played a pivotal role in the Dolphins’ 34-10 victory over the Falcons, racking up 91 yards from scrimmage on 18 carries and five receptions, along with one touchdown.

The Ravens’ defense has been shaky against the run, allowing 902 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, ranking among the worst in the league in terms of rush EPA. This creates significant opportunities for the Dolphins’ running backs, making them worthy of consideration for captain spots.

Jaylen Waddle, WR, Miami Dolphins (FLEX $10,400, CPT $15,600)

Waddle has been heating up lately, making him a viable captain choice. In the last game against the Falcons, he completed five catches for 99 yards and a touchdown, marking his third game in four with at least five receptions and 90 yards.

He’s Tua Tagovailoa’s primary target, along with Achane, and with the quarterback needing to get things back on track, I believe Waddle could improve on his average of 12 points per game in DFS tonight.

Ollie Gordon II, RB, Miami Dolphins (FLEX $5,600, CPT $8,400)

Gordon had his best performance of the season last Sunday, gaining 46 yards on 10 carries and catching a 20-yard touchdown pass. As a rookie, he has taken on significant responsibilities backing up Achane, and given the Ravens’ struggles against the run, he could see considerable action tonight.

DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Baltimore Ravens (FLEX $4,400, CPT $6,600)

Although Hopkins hasn’t been at his peak this season, he’s still capable of making catches that remind us of his earlier dominance. He found the end zone in the season’s first two weeks but has been unable to do so since. With Jackson returning at quarterback, I think Hopkins could potentially become a scoring threat again.

Keaton Mitchell, RB, Baltimore Ravens (FLEX $2,200, CPT $3,300)

Mitchell has emerged as a new addition to the lineup. He didn’t see much action until recently, but he gained 43 yards on four carries in the last game against the Falcons. Increasing his involvement could be essential for revamping the Ravens’ offense, so he might be worth adding to your roster.
