Week 7 of the NFL Season
We’re already into Week 7 of the 2025 NFL season, and tonight brings us an intriguing matchup in the AFC North as the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Cincinnati Bengals. The Steelers are heading into this game as 5.5-point favorites, with an over/under set at 44.5. With the teams in the AFC North pretty evenly matched, a win for Pittsburgh could put them three games ahead in the division, giving them a significant edge.
Let’s dive into some of the best plays for this Thursday night clash.
Jamar Chase, WR, Cincinnati Bengals (FLEX $13,200, CPT $19,800)
The Bengals are on a bit of a hot streak, and Chase has become a vital part of their offense, regardless of the quarterback’s situation. He has developed a solid connection with Joe Flacco, catching 10 of 12 targets for 94 yards and a touchdown during last Sunday’s 27-18 defeat against the Packers.
Tonight, he’s up against a Steelers unit that currently ranks 22nd defensively. Opposing teams’ number one wide receivers are averaging about 8.7 targets and 76.9 yards per game against them. I think we can expect Flacco to use the strategy of looking for Chase often, making him a dependable option for the captain position.
DK Metcalf, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers (FLEX $12,200, CPT $18,300)
On the other side, Metcalf seems to be hitting his stride, demonstrating why he was traded to the Steelers to be Aaron Rodgers’ main target. Over the last couple of weeks, he’s been a nightmare for opposing secondaries, accumulating nine receptions for 221 yards and two touchdowns in games against the Vikings and the Browns.
His ability to create separation and extend plays has kept him ahead of the competition, and he leads all receivers in yards after catch. He could have a standout game against the Cincinnati defense, which is ranked 29th in terms of expected points allowed.
Jalen Warren, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers (FLEX $9,200, CPT $13,800)
Thanks to the Steelers’ bye a couple of weeks back, Warren was able to recuperate from a knee injury and returned to action last Sunday, producing a solid performance in the win against the Browns where he ran for 52 yards on 11 carries and added two catches for 11 yards.
Warren’s ability as a pass catcher makes him an intriguing choice; he had 10 receptions for 120 yards in the two games before his injury. The touches he might get could make him a valuable option for the captain’s role tonight.
Jonnu Smith, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers (FLEX $5,600, CPT $8,400)
This season has been a bit of a letdown for Smith, which is unexpected given his history with offensive coordinator Arthur Smith. However, there’s potential for a breakout performance as the Bengals have been allowing the most fantasy points per game (14.7) to opposing tight ends on FanDuel. He’s worth considering for your lineup.
Noah Fant, TE, Cincinnati Bengals (FLEX $5,000, CPT $7,500)
Conversely, the Steelers also give up around 14.0 fantasy points per game to tight ends, indicating a promising opportunity for Fant. With Mike Gesicki currently on IR due to a chest injury, Fant might find himself targeted more often tonight.
Samaje Perine, RB, Cincinnati Bengals (FLEX $3,200, CPT $4,800)
Perine has been increasing his involvement lately, with six carries and three targets against the Packers. His opportunities are growing partly because starter Chase Brown hasn’t been much in the mix, so there’s a possibility they could share carries moving forward. He’s a cost-effective choice and could fit well into tonight’s roster.
