The chief spokesperson for the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Southern District of New York (SDNY) is heard slamming Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and other prosecutors for “perverting the course of justice” in targeting former President Donald Trump, according to hidden camera footage captured by an undercover journalist.
Nicholas Beers, communications director for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York (SDNY), spoke multiple times with an unidentified agent on podcaster Steven Crowder's “Mug Club” show, in which he aired his feelings about the liberal district attorney.
“I honestly think this case is nonsense,” Bierce said in a video recorded July 31 at what appeared to be a bar, after Trump was convicted of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records.
Bias told undercover agents that he had known Bragg for 15 years and worked with him in the SDNY office, and accused prosecutors of “pile on charges.” [against Trump] And then kind of rearrange things to fit the case.”
“Does he want to be something … mayor? I don't know what he wants to be, but I know he's not content to be just the district attorney of New York County. Did you know who he was before you decided to indict Mr. Trump? Now you do,” the Justice Department official said.
In another video shared by Crowder, from Aug. 14, Bias can be heard saying, “It's like the Wild West at the state level… They're all idiots, they don't care, they're all political.”
“[Bragg] Probably going to lock it [Trump] “Get up … it's going to get ugly,” he said. “They're too obsessed with getting him.”
“Who are they?” the agent asked.
“Democrat,” Bierce replied.
In another video, he is heard saying, “These felonies did nothing to stop Trump from running… if anything, they made him more important.”
He also commented on a separate civil fraud lawsuit filed against Trump by state Attorney General Letitia James over inflated asset values.
“All the real estate agents in New York [Trump] “We did. No one has ever been charged with this before… You know, this is a perversion of justice.”
He also slammed Georgia's Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis for indicting him on charges of conspiring to overturn the results of the 2020 election as a “travesty of justice.”
“This is a mockery of justice to say the least. She's a joke… This whole thing is terrible. They're just trying to get him.” [Trump]”A spokesman said of Willis.”

After the video went viral on social media, Vyas said of New York Post He said he had “just met” the woman and was just trying to “impress” her with what he said.
“I recently became aware of a video in which I made statements during a private social setting that unfortunately do not reflect my views on the two prosecutions, one local and one state,” he said in a statement.
“I said these things in an attempt to please and impress someone I just met who was secretly filming me. I deeply apologize to the local and state law enforcement officers working on these issues. They deserve much more respect than I showed them. I should have known better.”
