Week 14 Waiver Wire Watch for Quarterbacks

Hello! December is here, and now that Thanksgiving has wrapped up, the regular season is winding down in many leagues. It’s time to prepare for the Fantasy Football Playoff kickoff next week.

Let’s look at some quarterback performances worth considering for your waiver wire pickups ahead of Week 13. Remember, we’ll focus on players available in up to 60% of leagues. Also, this marks the last round of league-wide byes, so keep an eye on availability.

Teams on Bye in Week 14: Carolina Panthers, New England Patriots, New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers

Trevor Lawrence, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars (44.7%)

This Sunday, Lawrence led the Jaguars to a 25-3 victory over the Titans, securing their third consecutive win and propelling the Colts to the top of the AFC South. He had a standout performance, racking up 229 passing yards and two touchdowns, plus 25 rushing yards.

Lawrence remains a top-15 fantasy QB who can be found on waivers. He’s facing a Colts team that’s struggled at home. If you’re looking for a quarterback who can reliably score around 20 fantasy points, Lawrence could be a great pick.

Week 14 matchups: vs. Indianapolis Colts, 1 p.m. ET

Jacoby Brissett, QB, Arizona Cardinals (38.1%)

The Cardinals fell to the Buccaneers 20-17, eliminating them from playoff contention, but that’s not my main focus. Brissett did have some concerns in his play but managed to be one of only two QBs to throw for over 300 yards that week, ending with two touchdowns and one interception.

It’s worth noting this is the fourth time he’s scored over 20 fantasy points this season, filling in for Kyler Murray. With Murray still not back, Brissett could be playing consistently for the remainder of the season.

Week 14 matchups: vs. Los Angeles Rams, 4:25 p.m. ET

CJ Stroud, QB, Houston Texans (55.3%)

Stroud’s return from a concussion protocol was marked by a 20-16 win over the Colts. His performance was somewhat mixed, throwing for 276 yards, alongside one touchdown and one interception.

After facing a tough outing against the Cowboys, Stroud will be up against the Chiefs this week. With the Texans positioned for the playoffs, snagging Stroud off waivers might just be a smart move as you gear up for fantasy playoffs.

Week 14 matchups: @ Kansas City Chiefs, 8:20 p.m. ET

Tyler Shaw, QB, New Orleans Saints (7.7%)

In a narrow 21-17 loss to the Dolphins, Shaw aimed for his second win as a starter, throwing for 239 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception, which gave him 18.4 fantasy points, making him the 11th best this week.

He has completed over 68% of his passes in three consecutive games, showing he can command the offense. The Buccaneers’ secondary has been quite generous lately, allowing at least 270 passing yards and two touchdowns across their last four games. This makes for a promising opportunity for Shaw to shine against the NFC South leaders.

Week 14 matchups: @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 1 p.m. ET.
