Hello! It’s that time—Week 15 Waiver Wire Watch for Running Backs is here!
Finally, the moment we’ve all been waiting for is upon us. Fantasy playoffs have arrived. All those lineup choices you’ve been making over the past few weeks are really coming into play now. Whether you’re gunning for that trophy or just trying to avoid being the ‘Sacco’ of your league, it’s time to get serious about strengthening your roster for the postseason.
Let’s dive into some running back options you might want to consider picking up off the waiver wire as we approach Week 15. As usual, these additions are for players who are active in up to 60% of leagues. With the bye weeks behind us, teams are back in action.
Blake Collum, RB, Los Angeles Rams (34.8%)
Collum is really making a name for himself in the Rams’ strategy. Following his impressive performance last week, he followed it up with another standout game during the 45-17 victory over the Cardinals. The second-year player outpaced starter Kyren Williams, achieving 12 carries for 128 yards and two touchdowns as the Rams dominated.
He’s been getting at least 10 carries in four of his last five games. The Rams would be missing out if they didn’t increase his touches going forward. If you’re managing Williams and still haven’t grabbed Collum, well—what are you doing?
Week 15 matchups: vs. Detroit Lions, 4:25 p.m. ET
Devin Neal, RB, New Orleans Saints (60.4%)
The biggest surprise of the week? The Saints beating the Buccaneers 24-20 in the rain, and Neal was key in that effort. With 19 carries, 71 yards, and a touchdown in the first quarter, he set a new personal best and became a top-15 fantasy running back this week.
Neal is seeing this time because of Alvin Kamara’s MCL sprain. This trend is likely to continue into next season. The Saints will keep experimenting with their rookie, and if he’s available in 58% of leagues, this might be the last chance to snag him.
Week 15 matchups: vs. Carolina Panthers, 4:25 p.m. ET
Sean Tucker, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (17.3%)
Following this loss, the Buccaneers are now tied with the Panthers for first in the NFC South. That’s not great, but at least they have a reliable backup in Tucker, who gained 29 yards on seven carries and scored their only second-half touchdown.
It’s worth noting that his playing time dropped with Bucky Irving returning, yet Tucker still managed to have an impact on the game. He could be a useful addition to your roster as the Bucs push for the division title.
Week 15 matchups: vs. Atlanta Falcons, 8:15 p.m. ET (Thursday night)
Keaton Mitchell, RB, Baltimore Ravens (5.6%)
Mitchell turned heads with his play on Sunday, contributing to the Ravens’ 27-22 loss against the Steelers. He logged six carries for 76 yards but left the game early with a knee injury. His 12.7 yards per carry was impressive, being among the highest in the league that week.
He’ll be in focus as the Ravens prepare for their matchup against the Bengals on Sunday. If Derrick Henry is cleared to return, he’ll still get his share of the workload. Remember, he scored a touchdown against the Bengals recently, so keep an eye out.
Week 15 matchups: @ Cincinnati Bengals, 1 p.m. ET.
