Week 8 Exemption Wire Watch

The NFL weekend games are almost here, and we’re nearing the halfway mark of the 2025 regular season. It’s been interesting to see how some kickers have stepped up, often making a big difference in fantasy matchups.

So, for those of you looking for some last-minute additions, here are a few players you might want to scoop up from the waiver wire before Week 8 kicks off. Just a reminder, we consider exempt additions as players who are rostered in 50% or fewer of leagues.

Week 8 bye week teams

  • Arizona Cardinals
  • Detroit Lions
  • Jacksonville Jaguars
  • Las Vegas Raiders
  • Los Angeles Rams
  • Seattle Seahawks

Will Reichard, K, Minnesota Vikings (5.6%)

In their recent game, most of the Vikings’ scoring came from Reichard, who nailed all five of his field goal attempts and added an extra point in a 28-22 defeat against the Eagles. He finished with 18 fantasy points, leading all kickers for the week and placing him among the top 10 in his position. The team might lean on him heavily this week against the Chargers, and with the favorable conditions at SoFi Stadium, he could have another solid performance.

Week 8 matchup

Vs. Los Angeles Chargers, 8:15 PM ET (Thursday night)

Nick Folk, K, New York Jets (7.9%)

The Jets are struggling, remaining the only winless team this season at 0-7. Yet, on a brighter note, Folk has been consistent. He went 2-for-2 in a loss to the Panthers, and remarkably, he hasn’t missed a kick this entire season. While the team’s offense has been a mess, there’s hope that he might still see some opportunities to score.

Week 8 matchup

Vs. Cincinnati Bengals, 1 PM ET

Jake Moody, K, Chicago Bears (5.1%)

Sometimes a change can do wonders, and it seems that’s the case for Moody. After a disappointing start with the 49ers, he’s found new life with the Bears, recently scoring the game-winner against the Commanders and a perfect performance against the Saints. He could be a valuable option for the Bears moving forward, especially if they’re looking for kicker stability.
