Top waiver wire picks for fantasy football quarterbacks in Week 13

Hello! Here’s your Week 13 Waiver Wire Watch for Quarterbacks.

Thanksgiving week is here, and that means we’re diving into the heart of the 2025 NFL season. Most fantasy football leagues are just weeks away from playoff time, which is really crucial for managers. It’s time to start tidying up rosters before it gets too late.

Let’s take a look at some quarterbacks you might want to consider adding from the waiver wire as we head into Week 13. Remember, we’re looking at players who are available in about 60% of leagues. Every team is active this week, so there’s no chance of losing by default. Keep in mind there are three games on Thanksgiving and one on Black Friday, so make sure your lineup is set before Sunday to avoid any surprises.

Sam Darnold, QB, Seattle Seahawks (43.3%)

Darnold bounced back in a 30-24 win over the Titans, recovering from a rough four-interception game against the Rams the week prior. He threw for 244 yards and two touchdowns, netting 17.7 fantasy points. Having Jackson Smith-Njigba definitely helps.

Currently, he’s among the top five in passing yards for the year and is one of the few top-15 fantasy quarterbacks still available on waivers. If you’re finding your quarterback situation a bit shaky as we approach the playoffs, Darnold could be the solution you need.

Week 13 matchups: vs. Minnesota Vikings, 4:05 p.m. ET

Cam Ward, QB, Tennessee Titans (8.9%)

Ward faced Darnold in that victory. Despite being down six points, he played his best game yet, recording 256 yards, one passing touchdown, and one rushing touchdown, which gave him 23.9 fantasy points—making him the No. 4 fantasy QB this week.

After a rough rookie season on one of the NFL’s struggling teams, he’s been showing promise lately. That game against the Seahawks marks the third consecutive one-point loss for the Titans, and it’s the second game where Ward completed at least 65% of his passes. If you’re short on QB options, he might be worth a look.

Week 13 matchups: vs. Jacksonville Jaguars, 1 p.m. ET

Trevor Lawrence, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars (40.1%)

Lawrence continues to be a bit of a mixed bag each week. This time, he led the Jaguars to a 27-24 overtime win against the Cardinals, rushing for 256 yards and three touchdowns, but he also threw three interceptions in the second half.

Despite those mistakes, he still ended up with 20.1 fantasy points for his managers. Like Darnold, he’s another top-15 fantasy QB available on waivers. Even with his inconsistencies, he could still add value to a lineup filled with strong players.

Week 13 matchups: @ Tennessee Titans, 1 p.m. ET.

Jacoby Brissett, QB, Arizona Cardinals (36.4%)

In the matchup against the Jags, Brissett had a solid outing, throwing for 317 yards and a touchdown despite the loss. Since taking over for Kyler Murray in Week 6, he’s been one of the top five fantasy quarterbacks, averaging 1,887 passing yards and 12 total touchdowns at about 21.4 fantasy points per game.

Murray is eligible to return from IR in Week 14, so this might be your last chance to see Brissett in action before the Cardinals revert to their starter. The Buccaneers’ secondary struggled against the Rams on Sunday, making this a great opportunity if you’re considering Brissett.
