Tori Spelling stepped out wearing a bright pink bejeweled eye patch when she attended the launch party for her best friend Laura Ruggetti’s new hair extension line on Monday night.
The 49-year-old actress and celebrity hairstylist wore a matching ensemble of a bright pink cropped jacket and a pleated black maxi shirt with a thigh-high slit to an event at West Hollywood’s Hotel Ziggy. Spelling shared a photo from the event and explained the reason for her unusual eye accessory in the caption.
“Reviving the twins, one fashion moment at a time… When your hair best friend @laurarugetti launches her clip with extension line ‘California Blonde’ and x @hiddencrownhair collaboration, you have an ulcer on your eyeball We will also support you,” wrote the Beverly Hills 90210 alumni.
She added, “Laura even made an eyepatch for me. I’m proud of this #boss.”

“I love you!!!!!!!! Thank you for being the most supportive best friend,” Ruggetti commented.
The ‘Scary Movie 2’ star’s post received praise and support from fans.
“I read that the patch was due to an injury, but my little one who has a condition called amblyopia needs a patch for that. She loves to see this and it’s a real Barbie with a patch.” said!” wrote one follower.

Spelling, meanwhile, shared an update to one of her worried followers, writing that her eyes were “healing with drops of antibiotics.”

The “Story Telling” author first revealed the eye injury in a post he shared to his Instagram story on March 24. Spelling uploaded a selfie of herself lying in bed with a beige patch on one eye under her glasses.

“Thanks for all the wishes and concerns. Everyone is asking if I scratched my cornea. It’s actually an ulcer in my eye. Dropped the antibiotics and the doctor said it was 7~ Said it would be ‘hopefully’ cured in 10 days,” she wrote in the photo.
A corneal ulcer is an injury to the outer layer of the cornea. According to WebMD, corneal ulcers can be the result of eye damage or bacterial, viral, or fungal infections.

On Saturday, Spelling shared another selfie to her Instagram story, writing, “Still wearing my eyepatch… Can anyone tell me where online or in store I can buy teen gifts and my own cute bathing suit for spring break! ‘ wrote.
