Rapper Tory Lanez was reportedly stabbed in prison on Monday morning at the California Correctional Facility in Tehachapi.
Another inmate attacked him in the prison yard, according to multiple sources that spoke to TMZ. Lanez’s real name is Daystar Peterson.
Paramedics transported Peterson to a nearby hospital.
The reason behind the stabbing remains unclear, and details about the events leading up to it haven’t been disclosed. Fortunately, reports indicate that his injuries aren’t life-threatening.
Peterson is currently at a private hospital in Bakersfield.
Before this incident, he had been teasing his upcoming album on social media.

Peterson is serving a 10-year sentence in California following a shooting involving fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion in 2020.
Megan recently filed a civil lawsuit against blogger Milagro Cooper, as noted by TMZ. She alleges that Cooper misused social media to spread false statements about her, reportedly at Peterson’s instruction.
