The race for control of the House of Representatives remained close as of 10pm ET Tuesday night, with several key congressional races remaining close and polls still remaining on the West Coast, Hawaii, and Alaska. It is being done.
Of the 22 races labeled “toss-up” by cook political report (currently 10 Democrats, 12 Republicans), results are already in for the following races (as reported by the Associated Press):
Democratic Party (excluding states still voting):
- Colorado 2nd place: Rep. Yadira Carabeo leads Republican challenger Gabe Evans by 1.9 percentage points, with 64% of precincts reporting.
- Maine 2nd place: Rep. Jared Golden beat Republican challenger Austin Theriault by 13.3 percentage points, but his reporting rate was only 5%.
- Michigan 8th: Rep. Kristen Rivett leads Republican challenger Paul Junge by 4.7%, with less than 1% reporting.
- North Carolina 1st place: Congressman Don Davis leads Republican challenger Laurie Buckhout by 7.9%, with 72% reporting.
- Pennsylvania 7th: Rep. Susan Wilde beat Republican challenger Ryan McKenzie by 0.2 percentage points with 45% reporting.
- Pennsylvania 8th: Rep. Matt Cartwright leads Republican challenger Robert Bresnahan by 8.8%, with 61% reporting.
- Virginia 7th (Open): Democrat Eugene Vindman leads Republican Derrick Anderson by 0.6%, with 86% reporting.
Republican (excluding voting states):
- Iowa 1st place: Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks leads Democratic challenger Christina Bohanan by 4.2%, with 9% reported.
- Iowa 3rd place: Congressman Zach Nunn leads Democratic challenger Lannon Buckham by 9.0 percentage points, with 58% reporting.
- NEW YORK 18th: Congressman Marcus Molinaro leads challenger Josh Riley by 22 percentage points with 45 percent support.
- 10th place in Pennsylvania: Congressman Scott Perry has a 43% approval rating, 11% below challenger Janelle Stelson.
None of the races listed above had been called as of 10pm ET.
