Total Lunar Eclipse Will Create ‘Blood Moon’ Visible on Friday

People in North and South America have the best seats in the home, so you can see the upcoming lunar eclipse.

Viewers who want to wake up late will be able to watch “Blood Moon” in about an hour, which started at 2:26am on Fridays. It has been reported Saturday.

NASA noted that viewers don't need special equipment to watch the lunar eclipse, but that binoculars and telescopes may be better. It is also recommended to go away from the bright light and look clearly.

“During the lunar eclipse, the moon appears red or orange, because sunlight, not blocked by our planets, is filtered through thick slices of Earth's atmosphere on its way to the surface of the moon. It's as if sunrise and sunset in all worlds are projected onto the moon,” the site also reads.
