Sixteen golf influencers will compete in the Creator Classic at East Lake Golf Club on Wednesday night, and while it's the first event of its kind, the lineup of competitors is perfect.
For those who don't know, the Creator Classic is an eight-hole stroke play contest played on the newly renovated back nine holes of East Lake Golf Club. After the eight holes, the top four players compete in a playoff to determine the winner.
They will play the course in the same conditions that PGA Tour players will play in from Thursday through Sunday.
The event will be live streamed allowing the public to watch golf content creators compete in competition and fans can watch on the PGA TOUR's YouTube channel, Peacock, ESPN+, PlutoTV, Roku, Tubi, Xumo, Freevee and Samsung TV Plus.
Of the 16 athletes, there are three women and 13 men.
See who's competing and predict who will win the first-ever Creator Classic.

Is there any controversy with Creator Classic?
Some former players and fans may not understand why the Bryan brothers are competing in this event. Sure, Wesley Bryan and his brother George Bryan IV are both professional golfers, but that doesn't make them creators. They started out by showing off trick shots and uploading them to YouTube.
Is anyone really mad that I'm in this tournament? I've filmed over 100 full-length YouTube videos in the last two years… I nearly missed a PGA Tour qualifier… and I barely practice.

Nowhere in the Creator Classic requirements did it say you couldn't go pro.
Former PGA Tour winner Chris Couch tried to vent his distaste for Wesley on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
“It would be embarrassing if you didn't win,” Couch replied to Wesley.
It would be embarrassing if we didn't win.
— Chris Couch (@chriscouchgolf) August 26, 2024
It just goes to show that no matter what, you can't please everyone.
Wesley answered him. “I'm embarrassed that I still think I'm cool on Twitter,” he said.
Couch couldn't resist and responded again.
What the hell are you talking about? You're a professional golfer playing against a bunch of YouTubers.
It would be embarrassing if we didn't win.
— Chris Couch (@chriscouchgolf) August 26, 2024
Couch doesn't seem to realize just how talented these “YouTubers” are. The highest handicap of the 16 players is Good Good's Brad Dahlke at +5.6.
All 16 creators are strong golfers who have a chance to win. Golf is a difficult sport, so just because Wesley and George are professionals doesn't mean they'll win every time.
Their competition was by no means weak, so even if neither of the Bryan brothers won, no one should doubt or discount their talent.
Picking a Creator Classic Winner
Who will win this nine-hole event? It's all down to female power, so I'm betting on Paige Spiranac. She hasn't competed in eight years, but judging by the video she recently posted, she seems to be playing well.
As one of the most followed golf influencers, Spiranac is probably the biggest celebrity at the event. She's one of the most well-known influencers in the industry, and it's great to see her doing so well in the field, because you don't need to be interested in golf to love her.
But all 16 have a good chance of winning, and it will be interesting to see how they handle course conditions that are tailored for PGA Tour pros.
