Revival Following Charlie Kirk’s Assassination
Andrew Corvette, a spokesperson for Turning Point USA, expressed hopes that he and other Christians might harness the revival momentum in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination.
Recent Bookscan data indicates a 15% rise in church attendance and a notable increase in Bible sales following Kirk’s tragic death. Vice President JD Vance mentioned he has shifted away from discussing “uncomfortable” topics in his conversations with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham, focusing instead on his beliefs.
“Charlie is witnessing this surge in faith, not just in church attendance or Bible sales,” Corvette noted. “It’s remarkable that his response to such violence was not chaos but a return to faith.” In a somewhat lighter vein, Erika Kirk joked about her husband’s way of promising endless hidden content to his audience.
Kolbe, reflecting on his own experiences, acknowledged that Kirk’s work pointed to a greater spiritual truth—a connection to Jesus that many might have overlooked. “His life demonstrated how faith was woven into everything he did,” he continued. “And now, so many are re-discovering that connection through his legacy.”
The pastor also applauded Erika Kirk for her decision to forgive her husband’s accused murderer, calling it a potent testimony of Christian values.
Corvette described an entire episode of “The Charlie Kirk Show” centered around understanding revival and how it can be fostered within communities. “If we want to keep our country strong, we need to align people’s hearts with the idea that their rights come from God,” he argued. “Our founders believed in this connection, and revitalizing that understanding is essential for our nation’s future.”
Alongside the increase in church attendance, requests for new Turning Point USA chapters surged, with over 120,000 applications coming in—something Corvette found quite astonishing.
Under Erica Kirk’s leadership, Turning Point USA is also expanding its event schedules, anticipating record attendance for the upcoming AMFEST event in December.
“I feel we owe it to Charlie to embrace all this support and involvement that people are eager to provide,” Corvette added. “With all this energy and love surrounding his life, we’re aiming to turn this into something even bigger.”
