The 2025 NFL Playoffs begin on Saturday, January 11th, with the first two teams starting the Wild Card Round. There will be 14 teams in the playoff field, 12 of which will play in the first weekend, with the No. 1 seed in each conference receiving a bye to the divisional round. Eight teams will compete in the divisional round, four teams will compete in the conference championship round, and the final two teams will meet in Super Bowl 59 on Sunday, February 9, 2025.

The Chiefs aren't winning cleanly, but they're still winning. They became the first team to qualify for the 2024 playoffs and retained the No. 1 seed in the AFC. The Bills won the head-to-head tiebreaker, but are still one game back in the AFC standings. The Chiefs are 3.5 games ahead of the Chargers in the AFC West. They entered Week 13 ranked 11th in goal differential and 7th in DVOA, but are still tied with the Lions for the league's best record.
