Trae Young pokes fun at Knicks fans during Thunder-Nuggets Game 7

Trae Young found himself challenging Knicks fans during Game 7 between the Thunder and Nuggets. The Atlanta Hawks star has taken on the villain role against the Knicks ever since the 2021 playoffs when his performance helped eliminate them.

This time, he took a jab at Knicks fans by claiming that Oklahoma City fans have more enthusiasm. “It’s a hot take, but OKC fans are bigger than Knicks fans. Happy Sunday!” he posted on social media.

Even though Young’s team has been out of the playoffs for some time now, he seems eager to insert himself into the conversation. Meanwhile, the Knicks and their supporters are more focused on their upcoming challenges as they aim for their first trip to the conference finals since 2000.

The streets surrounding Madison Square Garden erupted in excitement after the Celtics secured their spot in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Pacers. Young’s season ended earlier when the Hawks were knocked out of the NBA Play-in Tournament.

During Atlanta’s brief playoff run, Young even faced an ejection, further souring the experience. Now, Knicks fans have a chance to silence their critics when their series against the Pacers kicks off Wednesday in midtown Manhattan.

Games 1 and 2 will be hosted at Madison Square Garden, where the energy is expected to be electric.
