The inclusion of transgender athletes has caused problems for fellow rowers, according to a copy of a letter signed by 15 concerned parents sent to the sport’s national governing body, USRowing. .

A parent told the publication that the player did not shave his stubble and continued to wear the men’s team uniform.

The final straw was an incident that occurred in 2022. A transgender rower allegedly entered the women’s locker room, saw a topless teammate and said, “Oh, tie,” referring to her breasts.

When another rower in the locker room asked her if it was the first time a transgender teammate had seen a woman’s breasts, she laughed and said, “Oh, yeah.”

The KIPP Academy student was then reported to the U.S. Center for SafeSport and was suspended from the team.
