Transgender Canadian singer Berlasen has cancelled her tour dates for the visa rules.
“I’m canceling American shows on upcoming tours,” Larsen announced in an Instagram post on Saturday. The American Federation of Musicians explained that they informed the singers that American immigrants only recognize identifications that correspond to actual biological sex.
“We have to cancel all American shows on our Spring Tour (New York, Beacon, LA, San Franc, Healdsburg, Alcata, Mercedo),” the “Ten Hands” singer continued. “Refunds are available at the time of purchase.”
Larsen continued, “I received an email from the American Federation of Musicians on Tuesday, saying that US immigrants are no longer able to apply for a visa because they only recognize the identification that corresponds to the gender assigned to them at the time of birth.”
The term “assigned gender at birth” is used oddly by transgenders and trans activists to suggest that it is somehow possible to “be assigned” the wrong sex at birth.
“Very obviously, I can’t tour in the US because I’m trance (and I have an M on my passport),” Larsen said, “I hesitate to include “now” or “no more” at the end of the previous sentence.
“The irony of this announcement is that it falls just two weeks before the release of my album. It’s about my transition, but it won’t be lost to me,” the singer for “Just Knowing You” added.
Earlier this year, President Donald Trump signed an executive order that demonstrates that the US government recognizes only “men and women.”
The rules were enacted immediately, ensuring that individuals identifying the opposite sex were not misrepresented in federal documents.
February, HBO A sense of happiness Star Hunter Schafer has revealed that an executive order by President Donald Trump has changed his passport from a woman to a man.
