A Pennsylvania transgender teenager has pleaded guilty to murdering a 12-year-old child while they watched Netflix together and posting the child’s body on Instagram.
Ash Cooper, 18, whose real name is Joshua Cooper, pleaded guilty Thursday to charges including third-degree murder, possession of instruments of crime and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence in the death of Morgan Connors. Fox News reported.
According to court documents obtained by the Bucks County Courier-Times, the two were watching Netflix at a trailer park in Bensalem Township on Nov. 25, 2022, when Connors got up to use the bathroom and Cooper He reportedly took his father’s gun from the safe.
Police then received a call from the mother of an acquaintance of Cooper’s, who said she saw Connor’s body on an Instagram video call.
Cooper was sentenced Thursday to 15 to 40 years in prison.
As a legal adult, she is also required to undergo psychological and psychiatric evaluation.
