Travel influencer Anvi Kamdar tragically died on Tuesday after falling more than 300 feet while filming at a waterfall in India.
The 27-year-old world traveller, who worked as an accountant, regularly documented his travels on his Instagram handle. @theglocaljournal, He was visiting Kumbe Falls in Maharashtra with seven friends. The Hindustan Times reported.
During filming, a Mumbai-based woman lost her footing and fell 350 feet into a rocky ravine.
Her friends contacted authorities, who dispatched multiple rescue teams.

Unfortunately, their efforts were hampered by bad weather, and rescuer Shantanu Kubbeskar said Kamdar “was initially elusive.” Economic Times of India report.
They eventually found Kamdar and were able to pull her out of the ravine using a stretcher attached to a rappelling rope.
“Six rescuers went down the hill and another 50 worked at the top of the hill,” Kubesker said, adding that the adventurer was responsive both during the rescue and on the way to the hospital despite being on a ventilator.
Sadly, despite the doctors’ best efforts, Kamdar passed away during treatment.
Before her death, the self-proclaimed “travel detective” had amassed more than 278,000 followers on Instagram.
In her last post, The day before she diedKamdar listed five cheap and uncrowded places in India that tourists can visit “during the monsoon season.”
The influencer’s fans were heartbroken over her death.
“I can’t believe it. It’s so sad, I couldn’t sleep the whole night,” lamented travel guru Aakhansha Monga. “She was one of the kindest people I know.”
“I’m here to express my deepest condolences to all of Anvi’s friends and family,” wrote globetrotting influencer Tanya Kanijoo. “This is truly heartbreaking to say the least. Please know that the entire travel industry stands with you during this difficult time.”
