Travelers Championship Preview:

After a dramatic U.S. Open week, the PGA Tour’s premier tournament returns to Connecticut for its final signature event of the year.

Defending champion Keegan Bradley won for the sixth time on the PGA Tour here in 2023. He also broke the tournament record by one stroke.

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler had the weakest performance at Pinehurst No. 2, but remains one of many strong players to feature in the tournament.

Xander Schauffele is also in the mix, with the PGA Championship winner coming off a strong finish at Pinehurst.

Ludvig Oberg struggled all weekend at Pinehurst, but the TPC River Highlands course suits his game well. Last year he was one of four field members granted a sponsor’s exemption, and the Swedish phenom comes into this tournament as a PGA Tour winner.

He finished tied for 24th with shots of 67-65-65-70 through four days of play in 2023. Oberg’s game is in good form coming off the U.S. Open, so keep an eye on him this week.

Collin Morikawa, Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood, Viktor Hovland and many other top players are set to tee it up in New England this week, competing for a huge $4 million first place prize.

It will be an interesting week as most of the field are fresh off a major tournament – will fatigue affect some of golf’s biggest names?
