Poor Stacey, Emo Rapper, Passes Away at 26
Poor Stacey, an emo rapper known for his collaborations with Travis Barker, has died at just 26 years old.
The Palm Beach County Coroner’s Office confirmed his death to Page Six on Monday.
According to the Boca Raton Police Department, reported by Billboard, the artist, whose real name was Carlito Milfort, died after an incident at his residence on Saturday.
Authorities responded to a call at a Boca Raton hotel that morning, and he was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly afterward.
Although the exact cause of death hasn’t been officially disclosed, many fans took to social media expressing their sadness, with some suggesting it may have been suicide. One fan shared, “You never know how deep someone’s mental pain is… Stacey, please rest 🖤.”
A hotel employee mentioned that he was brought in due to a medical emergency.
“Love you family. I wish we could have done more for you. Rest in paradise ❤️🩹,” another user remarked, highlighting the emotional toll this has had on fans.
Poor Stacey’s music combined hip-hop, punk rock, and heavy metal, and he had released two studio albums and two EPs. He had built a dedicated fanbase over time.
He and Barker worked together on several tracks, including “Choose Life,” “Nothing Left,” and “Hills Have Eyes.” However, as of now, Barker has not responded publicly to the news of his passing.
Poor Stacey also collaborated with Ian Dior and contributed to the Grammy-nominated soundtrack for “Bill & Ted Face the Music.”
