Colon, speaking on Fox Sports, expressed his view regarding Hunter’s dual role, stating, “I know how to approach a guy like this. I’m going to test his armor. If you aspire to be a two-way player in the NFL, we’ll see if you have the strength to handle it.” He further elaborated, suggesting that it would be interesting to see if Hunter can endure the grind of an 18-week season while playing both positions.

Colon’s resume is impressive; he won the Super Bowl with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2008, after spending six seasons with them and three more with the New York Jets. His experience offers valuable insight into the pressures of being a versatile player.

Hunter, who was recently acquired in a trade, is no stranger to accolades. The Heisman Trophy winner from 2024 made his mark at Colorado, excelling as both a wide receiver and cornerback. During his time there, he tallied 86 receptions, gaining 1,258 yards and scoring 15 touchdowns. Additionally, he made significant contributions on defense with 36 tackles and four interceptions.
