Travis Hunter provides ‘insight’ into Deion Sanders’ future plans

Colorado football standout Travis Hunter is confident Deion Sanders isn't going anywhere.

Ahead of Saturday's Heisman Trophy ceremony, where he will be named a finalist, Hunter dispelled rumors, saying, “Coach Prime isn't going anywhere.”

Sanders, now in his second year leading the Buffaloes, led Colorado, ranked No. 20, to an impressive 9-3 record this season, securing their first bowl game appearance since 2020.

The team is scheduled to play No. 17 BYU in the Alamo Bowl on Dec. 28.

The NFL legend's bold personality and success as a coach has led to increased speculation about his future, with some wondering if he will pursue opportunities with other programs.

Of course, Sanders has been discussed as a possibility for a variety of jobs, including a possible jump to the NFL.

But Sanders has consistently avoided this debate, and Hunter's statement only strengthens the idea that Sanders is committed to Colorado.

Sanders bounced back in 2023 after a high-profile first season with the Buffaloes, going 4-8, and led his team to a five-win improvement in just his second shot at the FBS level.
