Travis Kelce’s Golf Mishap
Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce had a bit of a mishap during the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on Friday. He accidentally hit a spectator in the head with a golf ball on the final hole, marking the fourth time he’s unintentionally struck a fan while golfing.
The tight end, 36, shanked a drive on the 18th hole. Although he shouted “Fore!” to alert those nearby, the ball still managed to hit a woman in the head.
He quickly approached the woman, who was treated in a golf cart, and apologized for the error, acknowledging he had misdirected his shot, as reported by KSBW.
Video footage captured Kelce speaking with Edenne Flynn, the woman who was struck, while onlookers gathered around them.
Edenne reassured him that she was alright, and in an amusing twist, he signed an autograph before he left the scene.
Following the incident, Kelce withdrew from completing the hole, leaving the team with a two-day total of 10 under.
This isn’t the first time Kelce has been involved in such accidents; it was actually his third instance of hitting a fan during a golf event.
In 2024, at the American Century Championship in Stateline, Nevada, he managed to hit two fans on the same day while playing on the beautiful shores of Lake Tahoe.
During that tournament, a young woman in her 20s got caught in the crossfire on the 16th hole and was left bleeding for several minutes until staff could assist her. People magazine noted that streaks of blood were visible in her hair after that incident.
Earlier that day, Kelce had also accidentally hit another fan in the arm with a wayward shot.
In July 2025, he was again competing in the American Century Championship when a shot went astray and hit a bystander in the neck during a rather chaotic round.
Fortunately, that fan wasn’t seriously hurt and even managed to find humor in the situation.
Kelce, an 11-time Pro Bowler, has faced speculation about retirement since the end of the Chiefs’ season, which didn’t include a playoff appearance. He’s looking to make a return to Kansas City for the 2026 season, and the team has expressed a desire for him to come back, according to the NFL Network.
As he navigates these decisions, Kelce is also engaged to pop star Taylor Swift, which adds another layer to his already eventful life.
