Travis Kelce’s play has room for improvement.
That is, the game of golf.
Kelce got off to a bizarre start at the American Century Championship on Friday when an inadvertent shot struck a spectator in the arm and then a second bystander in the head, leaving him bloodied. people.
Kelsey made her second mistake of the day on the 16th hole, this time hitting a young woman in the back of the head with her driver.
Witnesses told People magazine they saw blood in spectators’ hair after the crash.
The woman, believed to be in her early 20s, remained on the ground for several minutes while paramedics worked to help her, but she was eventually able to stand.
Earlier in the day, Kelsey teed off with the best of intentions but unfortunately missed the green with his first shot.
Kelsey made sure he received the proper care with a little TLC after punching a spectator.
The Chiefs tight end approached the crowd, shook hands and pulled him in to kiss the injured area.
Kelsey and her brother Jason, who is also competing in the tournament, joked about the possibility of being hit by a spectator on the “New Heights” podcast last week.
“This is my first time at Lake Tahoe, do you have any advice?” Jason asked his brother, who previously won the tournament in 2023.
“My advice is, if someone gets a ticket, don’t feel bad if you run them over,” he joked, to which his brother quickly replied, “I wouldn’t feel bad if I ran somebody over.”
“It’s a bunch of amateurs trying to play golf so don’t feel bad,” Travis continued. “People have been hit before. Paramedics have been called and they are on every hole very quickly. Everybody is OK.”
The American Century Championship continues through July 14, but hopefully Kelsey’s spectator injury streak ends on Friday.
