Travis Kelce goes to the Guardians' ALDS win — without Taylor Swift

On Saturday night, Travis Kelce had the chance to enjoy a solo outing as a fan. He attended Game 5 of the ALDS at Progressive Field, where the Cleveland Guardians faced off against the Chicago White Sox. The game saw a remarkable turnaround for the Guardians, who pulled off a 2-0 victory after losing the first two games in the series.

Kelce, who acquired a minority stake in the Guardians this past May, was seen enjoying the game from a suite with friends, all rooting for their home team. At one point, he even relocated closer to the field to soak in the atmosphere.

During the exciting game, starter Gavin Williams struck out 12 batters, contributing to a record-setting 21 strikeouts by the Guardians’ pitchers. The atmosphere reached a fever pitch when José Ramírez hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning, sending the home crowd into a frenzy, and Kelce was clearly thrilled. As Ramírez connected with the ball, he and his friends jumped up in anticipation, and when it sailed out of the park, Kelce was ecstatic—jumping, hugging, and high-fiving those around him while celebrating the moment.

After the game, he made his way to the dugout level and donned a postseason gray shirt with the slogan “Taste October.”

Donovan Mitchell was also in attendance at the game, but Kelce’s wife, Taylor Swift, didn’t join him, having spent the previous night on a date in New York. They were spotted enjoying a meal at a place called Old Rose, though there are conflicting reports since the restaurant appears to be permanently closed on Yelp. Some speculate they might have actually been at a members-only club instead.

The couple recently celebrated their wedding at Madison Square Garden on July 3, an extravagant event with over 1,000 guests.

While the Chiefs have a bye week, Kelce may make a trip to Florida for the start of the ALCS series against the Tampa Bay Rays, which begins on Monday. Meanwhile, the Chiefs are set to host the Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium in Week 6.
