Travis Kelce Praises Taylor Swift’s New Album
Travis Kelce is expressing his admiration for his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, as she prepares to release her upcoming album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 35, shared his excitement during Wednesday’s episode of “New Heights,” which features both him and his brother, Jason Kelce, alongside the pop star.
“I was fortunate enough to hear all the tracks,” Travis mentioned about the album. He characterized the songs on his recent release, “The Tortured Poets Department,” as “A Tore More Upbeat” and noted it was “A Complete 180.”
In response, Swift commented, “Life is brighter.” This new album coincides with her massively popular ERAS tour, which kicked off in 2023.
Swift described the 12-track album as a reflection of what was happening behind the scenes during her tour.
Her previous album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” was released in April 2024 and is suggested to touch on her split from actor Joe Alwyn, whom she dated for six years, as well as singer Matty Healy.
Two tracks from the new album, titled “Alchemy” and “So High School,” are believed to include references to Kelce.
The couple has been together since 2023, with Swift making her first public appearance at a Chiefs game that September. Kelce had previously expressed interest in Swift on the “New Heights” podcast, recalling how he missed an opportunity to give her a friendship bracelet with his number during the ERAS tour last summer.
Swift showed appreciation for the program, thanking her boyfriend during the episode.
This offseason, Swift and Kelce spent time together in Florida, balancing training with enjoying dinner and watching the Stanley Cup final.
The Chiefs faced a Super Bowl defeat against the Eagles in February. They are set to start their season against the Chargers on September 5th in Brazil, although it’s unclear if Swift will be in attendance.
