Week 4 was another ugly week for New York football — even the Bills couldn't recover from their loss against Empire State — and the injury bug hit the NFL again.
There are still two games left in Week 4, and two “Monday Night Football” games scheduled, but let's take a look at some of the winners and losers after another week of football.
Week 4 winner
travis kelsey
The Chiefs' star tight end has come under a lot of scrutiny in the first few weeks of the season, with some talking about whether his offseason efforts have taken his focus away from football.
He had seven receptions for 89 yards in Sunday's 17-10 win over the Chargers, marking his 917th career reception in the NFL as a member of the Chiefs, surpassing tight end Tony Gonzalez's record. They fought back in a big game. 916 records.
While the game was certainly positive as there was a lot of talk about him, Kelce is looking for his first touchdown of the season. (And the Swifties are still waiting for Taylor Swift to appear on the game again).
minnesota vikings
It's hard to say that many people had the Vikings as one of two teams remaining undefeated after four weeks, but here we are. Former Jets quarterback Sam Darnold came in and heroically led the Vikings' offense, completing 20 of 28 passes for 275 yards and three touchdowns, although he did throw an interception. They won against the Packers.
Despite giving up an early 28-0 lead and needing a late field goal to seal the victory, the Vikings hung on and found a way to win 31-29.
Minnie has defeated the 49ers, Texans and Packers in the past three weeks, an impressive feat for a team that went through a bit of change in the offseason.
caleb williams
Bears fans are starting to notice the rookie quarterback after Williams' solid performance in Chicago's 24-18 win over the Rams.
Williams threw for a touchdown, completing 17 of 23 passes for 157 yards, but the offense never turned the ball over.
The No. 1 overall pick in April's draft had a passer rating of 106.6 this week and has steadily improved in recent weeks.
Losers from week 4 onwards
jacksonville jaguars
Jaguars spoke with owner Shad Khan about his biggest takeaways heading into this season: “We're expected to win right now,'' he said, “This is the best team the Jacksonville Jaguars have ever assembled.'' Ta.
That comment seems far-fetched now that the Jags have lost another game and are now 0-4 on the season.
The Titans could be in the same category as the Titans at 0-4 if they lose to the Dolphins on Monday night, but expectations are high for the Jaguars this season, and head coach Doug Pederson has put him in the spotlight. I noticed that I was sitting in my seat.
Anyone who wants to see a touchdown at MetLife Stadium
The Jets and Giants played at home this week, but neither fan base actually got to see the home team score a touchdown.
Both the Giants and Jets lost by relying solely on their kicker to score points. Both games were close, but neither the Jets nor the Giants were able to create big chances when they needed to.
The Giants' final drive against the Cowboys ended with Daniel Jones throwing a pick and Greg Zuerlein missing a 50-yard kick that would have given the Jets the win over the Broncos.
falcons fans
Note that this is not all Falcons fans, just the fans who decided to start a brawl in the 300 section of Mercedes-Benz Stadium. An ugly video has been released showing a vicious incident in which one fan kicks and stomps on another fan's head during a chaotic scene. Something that is becoming all too common at NFL stadiums.
