Travis Kelce recently shared how much fun it’s been marrying a pop icon, speaking to Taylor Swift after asking her an important question.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 35, has been dating Swift since the summer of 2023. Fans were thrilled by their engagement news that broke on August 26th.
In a teaser clip for Wednesday’s episode of “New Heights,” Travis surprised his new fiancée during a chat with his brother, Jason Kelce. “Travis, we have to talk about it,” Jason says. “If you miss an Instagram post, you hear all over the world – Travis and Taylor are in charge!”
“Yes,” Travis replies. “I’m thankful for everyone who reached out and every post where all the excitement is happening.”
“It was really fun telling everyone I was going to spend the rest of my life with her,” he added.
He proposed with a grand diamond ring in the backyard of his Missouri home shortly after recording a joint podcast episode.
The couple has already been spotted together since their engagement, and there’s a buzz surrounding the details of the proposal, which Travis is expected to reveal when the full episode airs.
Swift, 35, and Kelce shared the news on Instagram, with Swift writing, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are married.” The post featured photos, one of which showed Travis on one knee in a vibrant garden.
Another snapshot highlighted Swift’s impressive engagement ring, designed by Travis himself, featuring a stunning diamond set in gold.
Last week, Travis’ father, Ed Kelce, recounted his first conversation with his son about the proposal. He recalled how they went out for dinner and how beautiful the moment was when Travis popped the question.
Ed also received a FaceTime call from the couple, where he noticed Taylor was with Travis. “It’s great to see them together,” he shared.
According to Ed, both singers, although young, are navigating their relationship under the spotlight that comes with their success, something they didn’t necessarily want.
