Travis Kelce went there.
In his and brother Jason Kelsey’s latest work, Podcast “New Heights”the Chiefs tight end called out Patrick Mahomes and made fun of his “dad” after the Chiefs quarterback recently said he can’t keep up with the Kelce brothers when it comes to partying.
“I’ve seen that guy literally drink Coors bars.” [Light] Literally, I’m like, “I need to run to the store and buy more.” We never thought we would run out of these things,” Travis said. “But Pat Mahomes has done it twice now… Your body doesn’t look like that for no reason, Pat. That dad doesn’t look like that for nothing.”
Travis said that after the Chiefs won the AFC Championship with a 17-10 victory over the Baltimore Ravens in January, Mahomes was shown shirtless on “Inside the NFL,” and the quarterback was shown showing his stomach. He was referring to Mahomes’ moments that made headlines, such as when he was traced over the top.
Mahomes appears on Logan Paul’s show Podcast “Importive” Appearing on Friday, he explained that now that he’s a father of two, he can’t keep up with Travis and Jason when they drink together.
“I think I used to be like that too, but then I had kids,” Mahomes said. “And you hear me now. I’m gone. [the party] early every night. ”
He and his wife Brittany Mahomes, a three-time Super Bowl champion, have daughter Sterling Skye (3 years old) and son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III (born November 28, 2022). There are two children.
Mahomes added that his Coors Light consumption has decreased since his wife and family started growing.
“100 percent man. These days you have to pick and choose, you have to pick and choose,” he said. “…Jason is [three] He also has to make a choice because he has children, but he can go when he chooses. I think it must be in their blood or something. ”
Jason also called out Mahomes on his podcast with Travis.
“I’m calling the bulls,” he said. “I can keep up with Pat and I know he can do it. He’s acting shy here, and no one can keep up with Pat, especially if it’s Coors Light.”
Travis added, “Pat, I don’t know where you’re going or what you’re saying, but you need to stop acting like you’re modest or like you can’t drink just because you can handle it.”
Mahomes, who was seen lashing out at a Coors Lights during the Chiefs’ parade during the 2023 Super Bowl, has been enjoying his dad’s buzz on social media.
“Dude, why do you have to do that to me!?!?!?” he wrote at the time, adding an X with a few crying-laughing emojis.
“Like having a baby!!!!!” he added in another post.
Mahomes and the Kelce brothers and their families are close friends.
Travis served as a groomsman at Mahomes and Brittany’s wedding in Maui, Hawaii in March 2022 after 10 years of dating.
“Our friendship was natural. He’s just like me,” Mahomes said of Travis, with whom he won three Super Bowls with the Chiefs. “He’s friends with all the sons he grew up with, I’m friends with all the sons I grew up with, and it’s like we all just became a big group of friends…I’ve been around him for a while. I’m going to leave it there for a few more years, for sure. ”
Travis recently signed a new two-year contract extension with the Chiefs totaling $34.25 million.
