Treylon Burks Makes Stunning Touchdown Catch
Washington Commanders wide receiver Treylon Burks amazed football fans with a remarkable one-handed touchdown catch against the Denver Broncos on Sunday night.
Quarterback Marcus Mariota orchestrated a lengthy drive, nearly five minutes long. On the tenth play, he threw a lob to Burks in the end zone corner. Burks elevated, snagging the ball over Broncos cornerback Riley Moss.
Burks secured the pass for what turned out to be a pivotal touchdown, bringing the score to 14-13 in favor of the Commanders.
Fans were left in awe, drawing immediate comparisons to Odell Beckham Jr.’s famous catch from 2014. Burks was expected to deliver such standout plays regularly when he was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in 2022. Selected 18th overall from the University of Arkansas, his stint with the Titans was underwhelming, totaling just one touchdown in 27 games.
This game marked Burks’ third appearance for the Commanders. He recorded four catches for 72 yards, contributing significantly to the matchup.
This touchdown was only Burks’ second in his career, and moments like these could bolster his chances of staying on the team.
