Trinity Rodman celebrates Ben Shelton's quick Wimbledon victory following a delay due to darkness.

Trinity Rodman found joy in her boyfriend Ben Shelton’s win over Linky Hijikata after a chaotic suspension of their match at Wimbledon due to darkness. The match, which was interrupted the previous day, was quickly wrapped up, taking only 69 seconds to secure a 6-2, 7-5, 6-4 victory on Friday.

“There’s nothing like a two-minute match,” Rodman commented, punctuating her post with a laughing emoji. “Congratulations to Benny @benshelton.”

Before this quick conclusion, Shelton had shown frustration the night prior when play was halted at 9:29 PM while he was ahead 5-4 in the third set. He seemed ready to finish the match and was visibly upset during a conversation with the referee, a moment that caught attention on social media.

The crowd at Wimbledon chanted, “One more game,” as both players had previously asked for the match to be called early on two occasions—once before the third set and then again shortly before play stopped.

Shelton later discussed the decision to pause the match during a press conference, explaining the referee indicated that with technical issues arising, there wasn’t enough time to finish under the light.

Rodman, the daughter of NBA star Dennis Rodman, shared a video of Shelton on the big screen after his win and is currently in London to support him as he deals with a back injury. She previously backed him during his run at the French Open last month. The couple, both in their early twenties, have been together throughout this tennis season, sharing glimpses of their relationship online.

Rodman, who shone at the Paris Games last summer, continues to show her commitment to Shelton, particularly as he navigates the challenges of competitive tennis.
