Trio Accused of Stealing Nearly $2K in Baby Formula from Florida Walmart

Three women are accused of stealing nearly $2,000 in baby formula from a Southwest Florida Walmart.

Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Responded On July 1, a theft prevention officer at the Walmart at 375 Kings Highway in Charlotte County reported three separate thefts of baby formula on April 4, April 14 and June 26.

Two women, later identified as Tomarion Malloy, 19, and Yolanda Williams, 47, were seen on surveillance cameras inside the store stealing $530 worth of formula on June 26. The pair allegedly stuffed the formula into bags and left the store without paying.

According to the arrest report, additional surveillance footage from April 14 shows Malloy going to Walmart with Williams and a third suspect, later identified as 47-year-old Harvia Williams, stuffing containers of baby formula into a tote bag and leaving the store without paying.

According to the report, officers determined Williams was involved in both the June and April 14 thefts because a tattoo on his right hand matched that of one of the suspects seen on surveillance footage.

Through further investigation, the sheriff’s office discovered the three were also suspects in a theft that occurred on April 6th at a Walmart in Naples, Florida, where the trio are accused of stealing 36 containers of powdered milk, a smartphone vlogging kit, a 10-pack of Fujifilm, and a Polaroid camera, totaling a total value of $898.

“Officers were able to match Harvia’s tattoos and Malloy’s clothing to two other suspects seen on video from the Charlotte County burglary,” according to the report.

Police responded to the same Walmart in Charlotte County on Friday night for a report of three women stealing baby formula. Yolanda Williams and Harvia Williams were taken into custody in the parking lot.

“Police say Malloy and another woman, identified as Evelyn Hernandez, 31, fled the parking lot in a vehicle. Police were able to stop the vehicle near Culver’s in the parking lot,” the report states. “The driver, Hernandez, refused to open her door for police and was arrested. Malloy was also taken into custody.”

Malloy, Yolanda Williams and Harvia Williams are charged with theft. Hernandez is charged with resisting an officer without violence and failing to stop police. All three were taken to the Charlotte County Jail, according to reports.
