Trisha Yearwood praised Garth Brooks for being No. 1 fan on the day he was an honorable guest.
Yearwood, 60, held her husband to the best of his best while accepting her star on the coveted Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday.
“She's in love with a boy” singer admitted the country icon is her “cheerleader,” and said Brooks was just as excited about the big victory in her life as she was.
“The first Garth I met was here, and Garth was a real cheerleader,” Yearwood told the crowd. “And like he won so many admirations and awards, I've never seen him get any more excited than when he received anything.”
Yearwood added:
She joked, “We'll put some crumbs or something.”
The “Georgia Rain” singer later admitted that Brooks was “the love of my life.”
“He's my person. He's done a lot in his career, but when others win, he's the happiest,” she said. Extra. “And I think he just believes in me so much and he knows he is the happiest person here today because he believes I am more than I deserve.”
Carly Pierce exclusively told Fox News Digital that Yearwood is one of the most timeless artists and the “soundtrack” of her childhood.
“You listen to songs like 'Walkaway Joe'. They were the soundtrack to my childhood, and why did I want to do this for my living,” Pierce said. “She is one of the true country artists that have evolved over decades, and everything remains very classic, true and timeless.
“She is one of the last and most timeless artists. I don't know generations or generations.”
Pierce was unable to identify one instance of the key advice awarded by Yearwood, but the essence embodied by the country star is more important.
“She's one of the most realistic people I've ever met,” Pierce said. “She greets everyone. She's everyone's friends and she's everyone's sister. I think that's a true testimony of who she is.”
Yearwood and Brooks have been married since 2005, and she is a “bonus mom” with Sandy Mar from the marriage of his three children, Taylor, August and Ally.
In 2021, Yearwood was opened about marriage, saying that they were both “very alpha.”
“We are both very independent people who run our own ships,” she said.
“When two people are driving two big ships, that can be difficult.”
However, she said their marriage was “better than ever.”
“I was always the person in the relationship when things got tough, when I was really happy just to get bail,” she admitted.
“I was good at it, so in this situation, it's not an option because this is the love of my life.
