Troy Head Coach Scott Cross Has Very Interesting Way Of Recruiting — Give This Guy A Blue Blood Gig

I mean… They do make good food.

If you’re a college basketball player and don’t like Waffle House, you won’t be allowed to play for Troy basketball head coach Scott Cross.

Yes, you read that correctly.

“Started off, the first two recruits we brought on campus, we’re driving down the main street, I point out Waffle House, and ask them if they want to eat there for breakfast,” said Cross. “They were like ‘Waffle House? Hell nah, I don’t want to go to Waffle House.’ I’m like, ‘OK, my bad. We’ll try to eat somewhere else.’ Long story short, we signed neither one of those guys.”

If you think about it, this could be a legitimate way of recruiting, because right off the bat, you’re forming both a bond and trust with the player. And not to mention the team bonding that can come with this considering everybody likes Waffle House.

Actually quite brilliant if you think about it … give the man a blue blood gig!
